We are the first on the market to develop a system that completely revolutionizes indoor growing. As long as you use our soil, fertilizer, CO₂ bags, and the Bonsanto Grow Box, you will have a perfectly calibrated system. You will not need a pH meter, EC meter, humidity meter, or thermometer. All components have been carefully calibrated and rigorously tested.
We have also created an easy-to-follow guide to help you grow effortlessly. Discover it here: Guide
No, the box is an ideal way to grow discreetly at home while still achieving great yields. The special soil, fertilizer, and CO₂ bags make this possible. The plant’s size can be easily controlled using a simple technique called low-stress training (LST), which helps keep the plant small.
Don’t worry—if you accidentally break a branch, the nutrient-rich environment of the Mini Grow Box will help the plant regenerate. You can find more information here.
The yield depends on the type of plant, with approximately 30–40 g per plant in the L box and 40–50 g in the XL box. It also depends on your level of “commitment” during the growing process (growing method, use of CO₂ bags, fertilizer, light cycles, and watering).
No, not at all! A specially designed ventilation system in the Mini Grow Box creates negative pressure, which prevents odors from escaping. It uses an activated carbon filter that should be replaced approximately every 6 months.
The Bonsanto activated carbon filter is unique of its kind and is capable of completely eliminating odors in such a small space, thanks to its high-quality activated carbon. In addition, the Mini Grow Box is also ideal for odorless fermentation (drying).
The operating costs are very low, but they depend on your electricity provider and usage time. Our indoor growing options equipped with LED lights are always cost-efficient. With 18 hours of light per day, the cost is approximately €9.58 per month (based on a 50-watt LED and an electricity rate of €0.35 per kilowatt-hour).
No, this is also an essential feature of our Mini Grow Boxes. They effectively protect against outside views. The box is completely opaque and generally very discreet, and our other options (such as grow tents) are also always opaque.
No—and this is the first rule at Bonsanto: growing in our Mini Grow Box is easy. Depending on the plant, there are a few points to consider, but in general you can successfully grow almost any plant in the Bonsanto Mini Grow Box without prior knowledge and with minimal effort.
You can grow all kinds of plants. Of course, the Mini Grow Box has limited space, so it wouldn’t make sense to grow a Christmas tree. However, all potted plants are no problem. If you regularly practice low-stress training (LST) on the plant, you can even grow varieties that would otherwise reach heights of up to 1.8 meters.
Of course, you can grow plants in the Mini Grow Box using any other soil or fertilizer. However, it may not be as easy or as productive. For example, our specially formulated soil contains unique additives that eliminate the need for pH regulation.
The fertilizer and, especially, the CO₂ bags are optional items that are specifically adapted to the conditions inside the box, resulting in higher yields and better overall results.
Yes, you will need one or two timers to do so. You can find suitable options in our shop.
In indoor growing, you artificially create the different growth phases by controlling the light cycles. The plant enters the flowering phase when it “senses” that the days are getting shorter (similar to the natural transition to autumn/winter).
For most plants, this is done by switching from 18 hours of light per day to 12 hours of light per day—however, it is best to check the specific requirements of your particular seeds.
During the flowering phase, the plant continues to grow and can increase in height by around 100%, essentially doubling in size. This general rule will help you determine when to switch your plant to the flowering phase, especially if you have limited space depending on the size of your grow box.
Depending on the type of plant, it generally takes between 8 and 12 weeks.
Yes, the box is equipped with a combination lock.
It’s simple. Use a sharp object to create holes or slots around the edge of the pot. Thread a tie (provided) through these holes to form a loop of the required size, then place the stem into the loop.
You can find detailed information about low-stress training (LST) here.
No. Our indoor solutions are equipped with magnets or zipper closures that allow the grow area to be securely closed and kept safely out of reach of pets.
The lighting time generally varies between 12 and 18 hours per day, depending on the type of plant.
There are several methods, but here is the one that works best for us: Fill the pot with soil, leaving about 2 cm of space from the rim, and moisten it (2–3 glasses of water, each containing around 800–900 ml, should be sufficient). Be careful not to compact the soil too much.
Next, plant your seed about 5–10 mm deep in the soil and lightly cover it with a small amount of soil. Cover the pot with a light-permeable film, such as plastic wrap. Make 5 to 10 holes in the film with your finger to ensure air circulation. You can then place the pot back into the Mini Grow Box.
Important: There is always a possibility that your seed may not germinate. Although this is rare, it can happen. As a precaution, plant several seeds in the soil and ultimately keep the strongest plant. You will need to remove the other plants from the pot, as it is designed to hold only one plant.
The amount of soil in your pot depends on the size (and yield) you want to achieve. More soil means more nutrients, which leads to greater growth. For beginners, we always recommend not filling the pot completely; about two-thirds of the pot should be sufficient.
Our special organic, pH-regulating soil is sold in 5-liter bags, which is enough to grow one plant in our Mini Grow Boxes. However, it is advisable to keep extra soil on hand, as the soil settles over time due to nutrient depletion. Fresh soil will provide new nutrients for the plant and contribute to its growth, yield, and overall health.
The only things you need to operate the Mini Grow Box are a 230V power outlet for the lamp and a USB power supply (5V, available from us) for the fan.
To preserve the anonymity of your shipment, your system will not be sent directly by Bonsanto, but by Leenway (leeventi-teleprompter.com).
